Water bodies.

These are large features which contain waters in the environment.

They are also called fishing grounds.

They are in all sizes and shapes.Some are round and others are shapeless.

They include; lakes, rivers, swamps, oceans,seas, ponds and water falls among others.

These provide water naturally to the people in the environment.

Most of these were created by God.They are majorly natural features.

Natural water bodies in the environment.

Most of the water bodies in the environment are natural made by God .

They exist on their own and man does not care about them.

These features like lakes, Rivers and swamps were  created by God.

Lakes

A lake is abasin of water that is not moving.It can also be the mass of water logged in one place.

These are lakes which contain waters throughout the year.

Even during the dry season, they remain with their waters however the volume of  water reduces.

Seasonal lakes

These are lakes which dry up during the dry season.

They contain less water compared to the permanent lakes.

Their water is majorly full of rain water. The is powerful during the wet or rain season.

Importance of the lakes

Lakes are source of fish or food.

They are sources of minerals like salt.

They attract tourists who bring in foreign exchange.

They are for study purposes.

They act as natural boundaries

Lakes are used for transport

They help in rainfall formation .

They act as leisure places like swimming.

Problems faceing the people who live near water bodies.

Lakes are bleeding places for vectors

They may flood and cause danger.

Lakes make road construction difficult.

They act as natural habitats for acquatic animals like snakes.

They act as transport means for wrong doers like rebels.

Fishing 

Fishing is the extraction of fish from the water bodies.

 These bodies include lakes and rivers.

Fishing is carried out by people who are known as fisherman.

These people carry out fishing as their daily routine warm.

Tourism

This is the act of moving from one place to another touring with the general  purpose of studying.

 Transport 

This is the movement of the people with their own property from one place to another. 

This transport is mainly carried out along water bodies.

Mining

This is the extraction of minerals from underground.

These minerals from underground include;gold, copper, diamond and natural gases among others.

It is carried out by people who are called miners.

It can also be carried out by the use of machines.

These machines use in mining are mainly tractors.

A river is the large mass of water flowing in a particular direction.

Permanent rivers are rivers which contains water throughout the year.

These are rivers which dry during the dry season.

They are powerful during the rainy season only.

These are mainly made by man.

They help in production of hydri electric power.

They are made a long big rivers in the environment.

They also provide water naturally to the people.

This water is used for many purposes in the environment.

Mainly, the water got from dams along rivers is used for irrigation.

Swamps

These are water logged areas with vegetation cover in the environment.

They help in puring the water in the environment.

They also help in rain formation and maintaining a good climate.

They provide clay for art and craft industry in the environment.

 Lakes

These are basins of large masses of water collected in one place.

The water most of the time doesn't move in the lake.

Some times, the water of the river passing through the lake is not the same as that of the lake.

Lakes help in rain formation in the environment through the process called evaporation.

Evaporation is the process by which heat from the sun heat the water bodies like lakes and cause water to evaporate.

 Mountains 

These are natural raised pieces of land that are higher than the surrounding areas.

They experience relief type of rainfall due to its mountainous nature.

They act as natural boundaries in the environment.

This is especially between the countries in the world.

Rocks 

These are hardest features in the environment.

They make up the layer on the Earth's surface.

They are used in very many aspects of life.

They can be used in building, decoration, defence and natural boundaries among others.

Atributary 

This is a small river joining the main one.

A distributary 

This is a point where ariver starts to flow.

It can also be defined as the source of the river.

A source  

This is the point where a river starts to flow.

River banks

These are defined as the sides of the river.
