Lake bunyonyi in Uganda

LAKE BUNYONYI in Uganda.

It is the depest lake in East Africa follow ed by Lake Tanganyika in Tanzania.

This is the largest lake in Kigezi sub region .it covers kabale,rubanda districts respectively.

It is the depest lake in the whole of East Africa. This was discovered by the local people around it in the past centuries.

The lake has benefited people around it in many ways in areas of tourism, fishing among others like transport.

The original inhabitants of the surrounding areas of the lake in areas of  Rubanda,Kabale and Kisoro respectively say only advantages of the lake that includes,

Attracting tourists

Provisions of food like fish

Modified the climate

Eased transport 

Among others 

How ever the lake has caused death of people who drown indh it.This is a result of poor means on water like lack of life jackets.
